Creative Video Production Co. wants your wedding memories to be as special as your wedding day. Co-owners Randy McFarland and Trey McClurkin provide custom video and DVD scrapbooks and memory montages of weddings, rehearsal dinners, receptions and other special moments.

Audiovisual scrapbooks are becoming as popular as the standard paper scrapbook of previous generations. Creative Video converts still photos to video or DVD, adds full production videotaping from rehearsal dinners through the ceremony and reception plus custom music and titles to produce a very special keepsake.

For rehearsal dinners, the audiovisual scrapbook begins with baby pictures of the bride and groom. School and sports pictures follow along with pictures from their courtship. “Chapter” headings are inserted marking The Early Years, Dating, Engagement, and Happily Ever After, said McClurkin, an Arkansas native who graduated from Conway High School and earned a degree in multimedia services from the University of Memphis.

Creative Video can author DVD for couples who have DVD viewing capabilities. Digital video disc is the most technologically advanced storage medium available. Trey said industry estimates are that the durable DVD format has an estimated life of 100-plus years.

“Tape degrades over time; image quality degrades, no matter what you do. The bottom line is DVD is just a really nice, permanent way to preserve your wedding video or family pictures.”

Video scrapbooks range from 2 1/2-minute productions with a maximum of 25 photos and one song ($50) to a 15-minute extravaganza with 101 to 150 photos and four songs ($150). Editing and production services are available with hourly rates. All wedding packages include one VHS copy. Additional wedding album copies may be ordered. Other services include the couple’s personal love story, rehearsal and rehearsal dinner taping, a reflection highlight montage and a honeymoon picture montage.
